Project's Objectives
Project's Objectives
The overarching goal of RiseUp is to contribute to the creation of a more inclusive, equitable, and forward-looking European labour market for young people. The project approaches employability as a multidimensional concept—one that integrates fair work, lifelong learning, wellbeing, and democratic participation.
Grounded in the principles of social justice, empowerment, and sustainability, RiseUp pursues a set of interlinked objectives designed to promote quality employment, equal opportunity, and active youth participation in shaping the future of work.
RiseUp seeks not only to expand access to employment but to ensure that all opportunities uphold fair working conditions, labour rights, and a living wage. The project also advocates for strong social protection and wellbeing frameworks, promoting policies that guarantee healthcare, welfare, and safety for young workers across Europe.
A central component of the project’s mission is to combat discrimination and inequality, fostering diversity and ensuring equal access to employment regardless of gender, socio-economic background, or ability. In addition, RiseUp focuses on skill development, bridging the gap between formal education and practical experience through non-formal training, mentorship, and experiential learning opportunities.
Another key aim is the recognition of non-formal and informal learning—validating the skills and competencies gained through volunteering, internships, and apprenticeships as essential contributions to employability.
Equally important, RiseUp empowers young people to take an active role in policy-making processes. By creating platforms for dialogue and participation, the project enables youth to express their views, co-design solutions, and collaborate directly with institutions in the development and evaluation of employment policies.
Finally, RiseUp emphasizes access to information and support, establishing open digital platforms and interactive events where young people can find resources, exchange experiences, and connect with employers, educators, and policymakers.
Together, these objectives embody RiseUp’s holistic vision of youth empowerment—a Europe where every young person can build a career with dignity, purpose, and equality.
